Homesteading & Gardening

Thursdays 8:30 AM - 12 PM

Ages 6 - 12

We are expanding our homesteaders program!!!

For three glorious and dirty hours, we focus on the various tasks and techniques that keep life humming on the homestead. From the daily goat and chicken chores to the repurposing of rags into treasure, to the gaining of skills needed to grow and prepare staple food items, we will explore many areas!

Late winter / early spring brings the birth of newborn lambs and baby goat kids - your child will experience the joy and amazement at taking care of these tiny, fresh creatures. Three of our dairy goats will also be breeding, growing babies and post birthing, require milking daily.  We will take part in the planning of an herb/vegetable kitchen garden, building raised beds, and planting seeds and/or seedlings.
