Community Supported Agriculture

This spring we are kicking off our first year of CSA!!! We are growing way more than one family can eat and we need your help! Eat locally grown, organically produced healthy food and volunteer your sweat equity - tilling, weeding and harvesting. Your hours equal dollars off of your weekly share! Together we create community-based strength, healthier bodies and a cleaner environment.

The initial CSA commitment is $50 dollars, to help us with the purchase of seeds and equipment. Your ongoing commitment is $25 a week (April thru October), for which you will recieve a mix of organic fruits and veggies. The produce available each week will follow the seasonal cycles; more greens available in Spring and early summer, followed by peppers, squash, tomatoes. In the Fall crops of pumpkins, squash and a return of the greens. We have carefully choosen species to have as much variety available throughout the growing season. The plant list on the right is a general guide to what we are growing this year. Added to this, is a selection of herbs and flowers. If you want to know more about the varieties we are growing, please just ask us. We would be glad to share any knowledge we have.

We are also offering a work to eat program. If you volunteer four hours per week in the garden, your $25 share is considered paid for. We are hoping this can be a place where the community can come together to put healthy food on the table and envision some great evenings and weekends working together on the farm with you, in the dirt!

We offer CSA volunteer / share pick-up a few times a week, corresponding with our Farm School playgroup times. Bring your little ones to help harvest and play!
